Our success as an organisation is due to our talented and committed team of over 600 people working throughout Wales.
Our services are delivered by specialist teams of staff, many of whom are based in the areas in which our residents live. Many work remotely making good use of the latest technology available to help them to providing good quality services to all our customers.
We have a number of site based staff who make sure our estates and schemes are well maintained as well as specialist staff who manage our accommodation for older people.
We also have a dedicated team working in our 24 hour Customer Service Centre, who deal with more than 240,000 calls every year.
And at our head office in Cardiff, and north Wales office in Flint, our effective and professional teams make sure all staff have the systems and information they need to do the best jobs they can.
The day to day running of Wales & West Housing is the responsibility of the Directors' Team - the Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive / Commercial Director, Resources Director and Operations Director.
Anne Hinchey, Chief Executive
Anne is Chief Executive of Wales & West Housing. She has worked in housing since 1985 and has extensive experience in the voluntary, local authority and RSL sectors.
A graduate in both politics and education, Anne is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Her first job was as a door-to-door rent collector with Cardiff Council with whom she undertook a variety of roles, including managing the direct labour repairs service through a major reorganisation.
Anne joined WWH in 1999 and became Chief Executive in 2006.
In 2013 she won the Most People Focused CEO of the Year (Not for Profit and Public Sector) at the HR Excellence Awards. Outside of work Anne is also a passionate Cardiff City FC fan.
Shayne Hembrow, Deputy Chief Executive / Commercial Director
Shayne has more than 20 years' experience in housing and regeneration, working in both England and Wales.
After seven years in the private sector, Shayne came in to social housing working for Gloucester City Council and then for the Audit Commission managing their housing work in the South West of England.
As Deputy Chief Executive / Commercial Director Shayne is responsible for Development, Care & Support, PR & marketing, and Systems Thinking, and sits on the Boards of Shelter Cymru, Cambria Maintenance Services Enfys Developments and Castell Ventures.
Stuart Epps, Resources Director
Stuart joined WWH as Head of Finance in 2011 and became Resources Director in January 2016. A chartered accountant with over 20 years experience, Stuart has previously worked as a senior finance professional in property development, construction, built environment consultancy, advertising and audit, both in England, and for the last 15 years, in Wales.
As Resources Director, Stuart is responsible for finance, treasury management, ICT, corporate services, audit and probity. Stuart sits on the Boards of Cambria Maintenance Services, Enfys Developments and Castell Ventures. Outside of WWH, Stuart sits on the Board of Tai Pawb, is Vice Chair of the CHC Finance Forum and is Chair of the Governors at his local primary school.
Steve Porter, Operations Director
A graduate in surveying with professional qualifications in construction, Steve has over 20 years' experience working in the housing sector in a variety of client and contracting roles.
After almost five years as Wales & West Housing's Head of Property Services, Steve was appointed Operations Director in 2012.
He is passionate about excellent quality service provision centred on the services residents want to receive and was instrumental in establishing WWH's subsidiary Cambria Maintenance Services.
As Operations Director Steve is responsible for Housing, Property Services and Cambria Maintenance Services. He sits on the Boards of Enfys Developments and Castell Ventures.
