Finance staff bring in pounds for charity with Pen Y Fan challenge
Around 20 members of our Finance team swapped spreadsheets for hiking boots as part of our 60 for 60 anniversary fundraising campaign.
Their mission was to walk up and down South Wales’ highest peak, Pen y Fan, 60 times. On a sunny Monday afternoon in September, they took to the mountains and more than doubled their target.
126 legs were completed by the team in total, more than 1000,000m of climbing or the equivalent of climbing up Everest 12 times.
And even better they raised more than £2500 for our chosen staff charities the MND Association, Cerebral Palsy Cymru, Parkinson’s UK in Wales and Cymru Versus Arthritis.
