If you’re looking to move home, the easiest way is to swap with someone else living in a housing association or council owned property. When you have found someone to exchange with either contact us through the Request a Change service, or give us a call. We will send you the exchange form to complete and return, so we can make our decision.
We would also advise that if the exchange is to another landlord, they will also have to consent to the swap, so the decision may not always be in our hands.
Before applying for a mutual exchange, please make sure:
- your rent is paid up to date
- your home is in a good condition
- the property you wish to move to is suitable for your needs
- you are not in any other breach of your Occupation Contract
