Talking to residents in Tongwynlais
Our teams have been out and about talking to residents in South Wales as part of our ongoing Community Conversations.
In April we visited residents at Catherine Drive estate, Tongwynlais. Set in the shadow of the historic Castell Coch, the scheme is home to more than 100 families and individuals.
Listening to residents
We believe that the best way for us to make improvements and tailor our services, is by listening to what residents tell us and acting on that feedback.
Staff spent a day on site, chatting with residents about their experiences, and listening to their views and ideas about their homes and community.
Chris Walton, Regional Housing Manager for the area, was one of the team involved in the Community Conversation.
He said: “Our conversations with residents in the Catherine Drive area has been invaluable. We met with many residents, some of whom had lived there since the homes were built in the 1970s. They told us how happy they were with their homes.
“Some residents said that bins and recycling could be a problem in some parts of the estate and made suggestions to improve the situation.”
“We appreciate the time people gave to talk with us. We’ll be reviewing all the comments residents gave to look for common themes. Then we’ll get back in touch with the residents to let them know what we will do.”
