Wales & West Housing retains its title as top Not-For-Profit organisation in Wales

The Sunday Times Best Companies 2018 has ranked Wales & West Housing as the top not-for-profit business in Wales for the seventh year running.

The housing association, which manages almost 12,000 affordable homes across Wales, has been ranked fourth in the UK’s 100 Best Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work For list, retaining its position at the top in Wales.

It also retains the coveted Best Companies three stars award as an ‘extraordinary’ organisation to work for. WWH currently employs around 400 staff at regional offices at its head office in Llanishen, Cardiff and regional offices at Cwrt Y Llan, Newcastle Emlyn and St David’s Park, Ewloe.

Chief Executive Anne Hinchey said: “I am so pleased that once again we have been recognised as the top not-for-profit organisation in Wales. We’re also the fourth best not-for-profit organisation to work for in the whole of the UK, which is a great achievement and testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff.

“We have featured in the list for eight years and every year the standard of entries gets higher. To retain the highest possible three star rating is a great endorsement of the way we engage with staff.

“We pride ourselves on being a values-driven company – being fair, open, supportive, efficient and responsible to our staff, residents and all those with whom we work.”

“This result is testament to how much people matter at WWH and the contribution every member of staff makes in creating a successful workplace where people want to join, stay, develop and make a difference.”

Wales & West Housing is also the first organisation in Wales to be awarded the Investors in People Platinum Standard - the country’s highest mark of excellence for business and people management.
